DURING your class critique...
Trying to remember everything that goes into a successful design project critique can be overwhelming. Here is a checklist that can help you during your critique:
5 THINGS TO DO DURING DESIGN DISCUSSION:
1- Call students by name, listen to what they say, smile and make eye contact.
2- Ask, "Can you tell me why someone might value this design?"
3- Ask, "Can you tell me what the design has done, not what you think the design should have done?"
4- Ask, "Can you tell me how a designer could mean to communicate one thing, but then communicated something different?"
5- Ask, "Can you tell me where the principles of design have been incorporated?"
